Mundane Nights
Overview
As part of the governments Unexplained Phenomenon Department, [UPD] acting as a safety officer you must secretly explore and discover the mysterious ongoings of an old community centre, where a monster may or may not lurk in the dark.
A short first person horror experience where the real fear comes not from any monster but the disruption of the familiar and the distortion of the know to create an eerie and uncomfortable experience.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities​​
​​Level Design​
- Performed extensive research on 2000's architecture, building layouts and aesthetics to create relatability to existing real life locations.
- Designed and iterated upon all main areas of the community centre, including; office, library, bathrooms, maker spaces and the gymnasium.
- Created paper and digital prototypes of the locations
- Iterated upon the golden path walkthrough as well as structural and objects placement changes based upon existing player awareness of the space.

Narrative Designer
- Storyboarded the project's main story beats and critical points ​
- Developed multiple character sheets, detailing motivations, experiences and affinities for individuals and locations.
- Designed environmental set pieces to tell unique closed mini-stories, providing subtle clues and lore to the buildings ongoing activities, history and mysteries.

​- Created and developed post-processing effects and shaders.
- Created monthly sprint objectives combined with weekly task prioritisations.
​- Imported and edited existing 3rd party sounds, textures, models and animations.
