Sushi Smushy
Overview
At the height of a romantic evening between a sushi and a salmon, the fridge door suddenly swings open and a pair of chopsticks descend from above. Taking only your sushi partner. ​

A short 2D platformer where a salmon must navigate through a kitchen landscape, avoiding jealous hostile foods and garnishes along the way preventing your delicious reunion together.

Roles​
Level Designer, Game Tester, Mechanic Designer
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities​​
​​Level Design​
- Created the 4 core design pillars of the game
- Established the theming and level progression through different stages
- Followed the Miyamoto principles of level design.
- Each of the levels per area adhered to heartbeat method of level difficulty.
- Created scrapped tutorial signage which advises players of hazards.

Mechanic Designer
- Designed the relation between gameplay mechanics and existing artists illustrations, assets and props. E.g. Bouncy cheese and the scrapped slippery butter​
- Created the attack patterns, movement options and ranges for all enemies.
- Ensured variable enemy placements and player encounters.
- Added optional soy sauce collectables to each level ​​​​

Game Tester​
​- Wrote test scripts ensuring ease of comprehension, usability, functionality, compatibility with controller support, and performance.
​- led team discussion about estimated level difficulty, golden path comprehensiveness, and area theming.
