A Mundane Night




Overview
As part of the governments Unexplained Phenomenon Department, [UPD] acting as a safety officer you must secretly explore and discover the mysterious ongoings of an old community centre, where a monster may or may not lurk in the dark.
A short first person horror experience where the real fear comes not from any monster but the disruption of the familiar and the distortion of the know to create an eerie and uncomfortable experience.

​​Level Design​

Conducted extensive research into early 2000's architecture principles, building formations and general aesthetics.

Concepted, designed, and iterated upon multiple hero section and key locations.

Created multiple paper and digital prototypes.

Altered the golden path based on player observations and direct feedback.

Storyboarded the primary story beats, and optional objectives.​

Scripted various key character sheets, detailing motivations and experiences.

Incorporated environmental storytelling to portray unique closed mini-stories, providing clues, lore and context regarding the ongoing main story line.

Created monthly sprint objectives combined with weekly task prioritisations.

​Imported and edited existing 3rd party sounds, textures, models and animations.
